    Building Poetics

A better understanding of the communication between designers and the described / designed / created object or product. That was the task, which came up within three steps.

In the beginning, we have choosen a word in group-work, and summarized this in an abstract manner within a recipe. We have choosen the word „Nostalgia“, because in almost all languages of the world it has a meaning which can has a modified form for the individual meaning.

For the second step, we did single work: observing an object of our choice and writing everything down, what we can see in this object. The observation lasted for several hours. I opted for the Copic marker E04 Lipstick Natural. This task has sharpened my sense of how I look at an object.

The biggest and most important stage of the project took place over several weeks. A fixed text is the base to construct a building. I have divided the text into eight different sections and each paragraph assigned to another building. I have made very abstract constructions, so that an entire city was formed in the end. Each one is individual and different as possible. The name of my city is obscurcity and derives from the word obscure which fits perfectly.
